Hun Sen welcomed the cooperation between Cambodia and East Asia in the fields of aviation and trade. He said that on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Timor-Leste this year, the signing of the air transport cooperation agreement between the two countries is of great significance. He hoped that the two countries will promote the opening of direct flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hun Sen encouraged East Timorese companies to invest in rice drying plants and rice milling plants in Cambodia to export rice directly to East Timor. At the same time, he also encouraged the two countries to promote education and defense cooperation.
After the talks, Cambodia and Timor-Leste signed two cooperation documents in the presence of Hun Sen and Horta, namely the Memorandum of Understanding on Rice Trade Cooperation between Cambodia and Timor-Leste, and the Air Transport Cooperation Agreement between the two governments of Cambodia and Timor-Leste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Horta is on a state visit to Cambodia from October 19 to 21 at the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.
