[Asia Union Times Comprehensive Report] The Cambodian National Anti-Drug Agency pointed out that at the request of the Cambodian side, China agreed to provide Cambodia with 1 million yuan worth of anti-drug equipment to increase the fight against drug crimes.
On the afternoon of October 19, Mian Weilie, secretary general of the National Anti-Narcotics Agency, met with the police liaison officer of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.
Mian Weilie said that criminals use Cambodia to process illegal drugs, and the police have cracked down a number of drug processing factories, which also comes from China's long-term anti-drug support.
The Chinese side spoke highly of the cooperation between China and Cambodia in drug control and the arrest of Chinese drug-trafficking criminals in Cambodia. China is willing to deepen cooperation with Cambodia, and China will continue to provide human resources training and related equipment.
During the talks, China also requested the establishment of a short-term China-Cambodia anti-drug law enforcement cooperation working group in Cambodia. The Cambodian side expresses its support for this and hopes that the Cambodia-China Anti-drug Law Enforcement Cooperation Working Group will carry out long-term work to prevent and combat drug crimes more effectively.
